Last updated June 25, 2026
JHC Cooling and Heating (doing business as JHC Cooling and Heating, "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and in the course of providing HVAC and related home-comfort services in Texas, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using our website or services, you agree to this Policy.
Information We Collect
- Information you provide: name, phone number, email, service address, and details of your service request when you contact us, request a quote, book service, or apply for financing.
- Communications: the content of calls, texts, chat, and form messages. Phone calls to or from us may be recorded or monitored for quality, training, and scheduling purposes.
- Automatic / technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and similar analytics data collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Analytics & measurement identifiers: data collected by Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, used to measure and improve our website and marketing. We do not run a Meta/Facebook advertising pixel on this site.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries and to schedule, provide, and follow up on services
- To send appointment confirmations, service updates, estimates, invoices, and (with consent) marketing
- To process financing applications through our third-party financing partner
- To operate, secure, analyze, and improve our website and services
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
Text Messaging (SMS) & Mobile Terms
If you opt in to text messages from JHC Cooling and Heating, you consent to receive service-related and, where applicable, promotional messages at the number you provide, which may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help. We do not sell or share your mobile opt-in or phone number with third parties for their own marketing, and mobile opt-in data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies, Analytics & Your Choices (GPC)
We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law. You can opt out of Google Analytics via Google's browser add-on and out of interest-based ads through your Google Ads settings or industry opt-out tools (optout.aboutads.info). See Your Privacy Choices below for how to opt out on this site.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with trusted service providers who act on our behalf (hosting, analytics and measurement, form delivery, spam prevention, and our financing partners), and as required by law or to protect our rights. Some sharing for analytics/advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state laws; you may opt out as described below.
Your Privacy Choices
Your California Privacy Rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
This section applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and describes the choices available to all visitors regardless of where they live.
Categories of personal information we collect.
- Identifiers and contact data you submit through our forms — name, phone number, email address, and service address.
- Commercial/service information — the equipment, service, or financing question you tell us about, and our service history with you.
- Internet or network activity — pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and interaction events, collected through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
- Security data — signals collected by Google reCAPTCHA to distinguish real visitors from automated abuse on our forms.
When you choose to apply for financing, you leave this site for our financing partners (FTL Finance and Hearth) and any information you enter there is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We do not collect or store payment card numbers on this website.
"Sharing" disclosure (CPRA). We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of Google Analytics and advertising tags can involve “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as the CPRA defines that term. You have the right to opt out, and we honor that opt-out as described below. We do not knowingly collect or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Your rights.
- Right to know / access what personal information we hold about you.
- Right to delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised any of these rights.
How to opt out. You have two ways, and both are honored:
- On this site. Use the cookie banner's Decline option. Your choice is stored in your browser and re-applied on every return visit, and it updates our analytics and advertising consent signals immediately. To change your mind, clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser and choose again on your next visit.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid, binding request to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information. Advertising signals are disabled automatically — you do not need to interact with the banner at all.
You may also submit a request by phone or email using the contact details below, including through an authorized agent. We will verify your identity before responding, and we respond within the timeframes the law requires.
Other US state privacy rights
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Texas, where we are based — have comparable rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Use the same methods above; we apply them to every visitor who asks, not only California residents.
